I read a bunch of reviews saying that this hot air rework station had a hard time getting up to the max temp with the nozzles off and that the only way to fix this problem was to get another heating element and replace it. I thought that was a fair fix and decided to pick this up, as well as the element. The element I got was from China, so I didn't have it when this came in the mail. I decided to do some testing and I found that it worked perfectly fine and that the element didn't actually have to be changed. I took off the nozzle, set it to max temp, and waited about 30 seconds. It got to max temp and stayed there without issue. Now I have a spare heating element in case this one breaks on me.Now onto actual use. I've used this to fix a couple game systems and it has made my life so much easier. Trying to solder SMD components with an iron is literally painful. Just make sure to use enough flux or you can burn the board just like any other soldering iron. This was the first hot air station I've ever owned and it was as easy to use as just plugging it in and turning the dial to the correct temperature. I watched a couple videos on techniques to use when using a hot air rework station, but it really is very easy.I definitely recommend this station. It's not a bad deal for the price and it seems like the problems with the heating element have been fixed.
