These salt and pepper grinders are very nice in my modern kitchen. It took me a while to get used to refilling them.Refilling them can be tricky so I included some pics with a few tips along with this review.1. Remove one of the batteries so it doesn't start grinding when you turn it upside down. Separate the chamber from the battery housing by pulling it apart.2. Place the chamber in a short glass with a paper towel inside to hold it in place, as the top is not level to stand on its own. That way you have both hands free so you can refill it with salt or peppercorns.3. Replace the battery.4. When re-connecting, make sure the two prongs on the chamber match up with the 2 sensors on the battery housing. Slightly wiggle it in until you can connect the two parts.
