This rug is VERY thick, heavy, and well made. It feels really good to walk on. Its soft and actually feels kinda like a massage on your feet :)We ordered the black rug and the color is true black velvety looking but the rug does look different in person then on the picture. I thought the little balls I guess you would say were smaller but they are big but very close together thats probably why they looked smaller on the picture. I love it though its really cool looking! The only reason I didnt give it 5 stars was because Ive had it for 3 days and it has had a lot of shedding. Ive had to vaccuum it 5 times so far and it has filled my vaccuum up 3 times. My 3 yr. old son said um mommy someone got a haircut in the livingroom lol! So Im hoping that the shedding will eventually stop. Over all though it looks awesome and feels awesome :)We love this rug and bought it to replace exactly the same one we bought 12 years ago. We are satisfied that it is long lasting and the cats do enjoy sleeping on it's deep pile.This rug is heavy/thick and wonderful wool, however, the large tuffs make it a bit more modern than what I needed for my home with antiques. It is absolutely well-made and plush, but best for a more modern environment.I absolutely love the look of this rug. I found it on Amazon at a discount of over 50% of usual retail price. However, it sheds terribly. I’ve had it on the floor for over 6 months but I’m still picking fuzz off the floor several times a day. I vacuum it at least once a week. Had I known it would shed so badly, I would not have bought it.UPDATE: I downgraded to one star. I’m finally throwing this rug out! It’s still shedding and it’s worse than it was at 6 months.
