This is one of the best bell peppers for areas with short or cool summers, even Alaska. The plants produce early and heavily, even when nights are cool. It can even be grown in unheated tunnels and home greenhouses. The peppers have 3 to 4 lobes and ripen from green to red very rapidly. They are 4" long and 3" wide. The big advantage of this variety is that it sets fruit well in cool weather and thus is a good choice for the North and coastal regions in particular. Fruits are medium in size and flavor is good. Huge yields of medium sized 3-4 lobed fruits. Has apparent tolerance to blossom drop as nearly every flower produces a pepper. Widely adapted but performs particularly well in cool climates where bell peppers are difficult to grow successfully.
